Library Group Study Rooms Use
Last Review: September 2025
- Group Study Rooms are available to Florida Tech faculty, students, and staff. Rooms are not available for use by the general public.
- Due to high student demand and limited space, rooms are intended for group use and for academic or scholarly purposes.
- Room occupants are responsible for the condition of the facilities and equipment. Any abuse will result in fines and/or disciplinary action.
- Do not unplug or rearrange cables and equipment.
- All furniture, if moved, must return to its original place.
- Pick up trash before leaving.
- To assure equitable access, room reservations are limited to a maximum of two hours, and consecutive reservations are not permitted.
- Each individual is limited to three standing reservations at any one time.
- Reservations must be activated within 15 minutes of the reservation start time either by using (1) the link in the reservation email or (2) the QR code posted inside the study room. Otherwise, the room reservation will be automatically cancelled and open for others to reserve the room for the same time slot.
- In the event of conflicting bookings, library staff will assist in finding alternative accommodations when available but cannot override the automated booking system.
