Due to COVID-19, the Library is currently only open to Florida Tech students, faculty and staff.

The Library building is physically open Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Librarians are available via chat Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

About Us

The Harry P. Weber University Archives documents the essential functions and history of the Florida Institute of Technology and its impact on the community: university beginnings, growth and challenges; key decisions affecting the future of the university; the activities, history, and culture of the university; and key functions of the university and its operations. The Special Collections holds several large research collections covering subject areas such as flight, poetry, ocean engineering, space, and related industries. These collections hold records, artifacts, memorabilia, photos, audiovisual materials, and more.

The mission of the Harry P. Weber University Archives and Special Collections is to:

Document the history of the university and the fields and industries integral to its character through collecting activities and by undertaking projects of value and relevance;

Facilitate onsite and remote access to archives through arrangement, description, and digitization;

Be responsible stewards through the preservation of collections, both physical and digital;

Foster and enhance understanding and use of archives through education, outreach, and programming on campus and in the wider community;

Support the missions of the Library and the University by upholding an archival program in accordance with nationally and internationally recognized standards and best practices.
