Geospatial Analysis

The DSL is home to five dual-monitor workstations with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software for projects using GIS for spatial analysis, data management, preparing maps, and creating multimedia products comprised of elements from GIS and other applications. The DSL offers workshops and individual training sessions and consultations on both introductory and more specialized aspects of GIS.

GIS applications installed on the workstations include ArcGIS and QGIS.  In addition, we have the following extensions to enhance the ArcGIS capabilities:

• 3D Analyst
• Geostatistical Analyst
• Network Analyst
• Spatial Analyst
• ArcScan
