Evans Library 50th Anniversary as FDLP Invitation

Evans Libary celebrated their 50th anniversary as a Federal Depository Library on November 22, 2013.

On Friday, November 22, 2013, faculty, students, staff, and community members gathered together to celebrate Evan Library's 50th anniversary as a Federal Depository Library. The celebration included:

  • Remarks by former U.S. Representative Dave Weldon on “A Journey with Government Information”
  • FIT faculty members Dr. George Maul, Dr. Ted Petersen, and Dr. Stephen Cusick describe their use of government resources.
  • A display featuring Government documents ranging from “The Roswell Report: Fact vs. Fiction in the New Mexico Desert” to the Watergate Transcripts to analyses of the events of 9-11.
  • The display also featured recordings of conversations aboard Air Force One during its return trip from Dallas with the remains of John F. Kennedy.
