COM 2012 - Research Sources & Systems
Based on the Association of College and Research Libraries' Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education, this one-credit course is designed to acquaint students with a variety of services, sources, and systems available through the Evans Library. It emphasizes research strategies and tools useful in each student's field of study, as well as the use of other important print and electronic information resources. The acquired skills and knowledge should enable students to find, evaluate, and use information resources effectively in lifelong learning.
Offered each semester, COM 2012 is a required course for 14 majors and 2 minors. It also counts as a restricted elective in the biological sciences.
