Data Curation

GraphWhile DSL staff may be called upon to help researchers with tactical data management aspects of research, there may be more strategic conversations some researchers will want to have as we think carefully about the scholarly communication environment.  Data curation takes this larger view of the cycles of our research work with a focus on best practices throughout the life of data; in addition, there exist great opportunities to influence the direction of our respective disciplines.  Examples include refining metadata schema, developing specific digital collections or perhaps even data repositories that fill particular niches of study.  Contact Holly Miller at hmiller@fit.edu or David Lowe at lowed@fit.edu.
